Despite her age she is still a powerful and dangerous fighter, as illustrated in an early episode of the Wild Hero Catgirls where they come home to find a stack of neatly piled White Legion corpses and Master Grey indulging in a refreshing cup of tea. She has incredible strength and endurance, as shown in a Season Two episode where she stalked Eckot for days on end through the wilds, never chasing her into traps but always on her trail. Eventually Eckot gave up and apologized after being woken up by a poke of her staff.

Master Grey is either depicted as energetic, cheerful and enthusiastic or sober, silent and moody and later episodes explore her bipolar issues and the importance of mental health where she swallows her pride and admits she can still learn lessons from her students.

She got a spinoff series called “Young Smoke” that explores the adventures of her youth.

The Rolls

Role: Boss

Physical Advantage: Strength

Mental Advantage: Intelligence

Disadvantage: Stupid

Character Arc: Spinoff

User handle: Grey Cat

User avatar at the time: Anthropomorphic grey cat

Interpretation

With a handle of “Grey Cat” and a role roll of “Boss”, it was pretty obvious that Master Grey was going to be the “Splinter” of the Wild Hero Catgirls. When the disadvantage of “stupid” is in direct conflict to the mental advantage of “intelligence”, I interpret it as either inexperience or some kind of mental condition.

I’m not sure why I chose bipolar. It might be an influence from “Jimmy & The Pulsating Mass” (an excellent JRPG-styled game with influence from Earthbound, the dev of which is doing a kickstarter for a new game) in which the mother character deals with bipolar disorder.

Regardless, with rolls like that it was pretty clear that Master Grey could kick all kinds of ass — way more than Splinter could in his prime. Master Grey isn’t the type of old master who gets kidnapped, she’s the kind of old master that schools anyone who tries to mess with her and is the reason why the Wild Hero Catgirls don’t have a “Shredder” expy.

What would “Young Smoke” be like?

“Smoke” would be Master Grey’s nickname in her youth and I’d probably style her story after Miyamoto Musashi to a degree. Of course, since there’s no major wars that would allow her to be a soldier, she’d be more a mercenary and duelist. I imagine the spin-off would be a black-and-white comic that shows how young Smoke goes from a hot-blooded fighter to the respected old master. I imagine it would parody the Hamato Yoshi/Splinter origin story in which Young Smoke kills the equivalent of Oroko Nagi, tries to leave it behind her only to then kill Oroko Saki in self defence, then Karai (who is trying to avenge Saki), and then Elite one by one. When their students try to kill her, she’s so sick of the bloodshed that she spares them by faking her own death.

One of the students not only realizes the deception but also that they’re only still alive by her mercy, and forsaking any idea of revenge is able to track her down and ask her to teach them. This is what sets Smoke on a path that would eventually transform her into the wise teacher that the Wild Hero Catgirls know and love.

Name: Master GreyTeam: Wild Hero Catgirl TeamRole: Master of the Wild Hero Catgirl Team Original Draft Master Grey taught the girls to be a Hero Team (she’s a killer cat).…

["post-589","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry

Master Grey - Wild Hero Catgirl Team - Smik's Stuff

{"@context":"https://schema.org","@graph":[{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://smik.ca/index.php/master-grey-wild-hero-catgirl-team/","url":"https://smik.ca/index.php/master-grey-wild-hero-catgirl-team/","name":"Master Grey - Wild Hero Catgirl Team - Smik's Stuff","isPartOf":{"@id":"https://smik.ca/#website"},"primaryImageOfPage":{"@id":"https://smik.ca/index.php/master-grey-wild-hero-catgirl-team/#primaryimage"},"image":{"@id":"https://smik.ca/index.php/master-grey-wild-hero-catgirl-team/#primaryimage"},"thumbnailUrl":"https://smik.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Grey-Cat.png","datePublished":"2023-08-31T00:01:40+00:00","breadcrumb":{"@id":"https://smik.ca/index.php/master-grey-wild-hero-catgirl-team/#breadcrumb"},"inLanguage":"en-US","potentialAction":[{"@type":"ReadAction","target":["https://smik.ca/index.php/master-grey-wild-hero-catgirl-team/"]}]},{"@type":"ImageObject","inLanguage":"en-US","@id":"https://smik.ca/index.php/master-grey-wild-hero-catgirl-team/#primaryimage","url":"https://smik.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Grey-Cat.png","contentUrl":"https://smik.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Grey-Cat.png","width":640,"height":720},{"@type":"BreadcrumbList","@id":"https://smik.ca/index.php/master-grey-wild-hero-catgirl-team/#breadcrumb","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"name":"Home","item":"https://smik.ca/"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"name":"Master Grey –
