Who is Lulu?
Deep in the sea off the shores of Idedian (the Great City where most of the action takes place) lies an eldritch creature of great power and eccentric disposition. Cthulhu? No. Well yes, but no. Like yes Lulu is a big tentacled creature but all the crap about madness and malice is mostly because Lovecraft was small, scared and racist. Lulu isn’t dead and isn’t dreaming, Lulu watches the surface world like it’s reality TV and gets annoyed by the oceanic pollution.
Lulu also doesn’t appreciate it when actually malicious entities ruin their shows, and in order to deal with them has a number of agents who are capable of venturing to the surface and interacting with the denizens above.
Said agents primary priority is to stop the Legions from taking over Idedian (because they’re ruthless and will ruin the land and water if they do) and also stop Idedian from polluting the ocean (because it’s annoying)
The welfare of the people of Idedian is entirely left up discretion of the agents.
What are “Lulu’s Angels”?
Like Charlie’s Angels, except with tentacles. And eldritch abilities. And instead of being universally sexy the agent’s physical appeal is a more specialized taste. Also they’re universally without pants because tentacles make fitting a pain and also to see their lower genitalia you gotta get past all those tentacles and again, that’s a specialized taste. Also instead of a mysterious millionaire detective their boss is a relatively benign Cthulhu-like creature who uses “They” pronouns.
What’s “Team Tentacle”?
Not all of Lulu’s Angels are full of tentacles and horror as there are various mer-people who can pass for human. Team Tentacle isn’t about that. Team Tentacle is proudly alien because apparently trying to subtly make a difference by sending their agents amongst the populace isn’t cutting it anymore.
